Committee
The PAC committee builds political leadership, a positive attitude towards the political arena, and establishes bonds with the community to locate conscientious people interested in education to run for the Downey Unified School Board. This is a non-political group focused on educational and contractual matters facing DUSD. Our goal is to create a deeper and personal connection with school board members by encouraging two-way communications discussing various issues and concerns.

DSUD has 7 Trustee Areas that encompass specific schools. Ideally, we would have one committee member from each site, and the committee should be diverse in nature, with various years of experience and include all aspects of the certificated staff (nurses, CSTs, counselors, teachers, TOSAs, psychologists, etc.) We are still developing our vision, interview questions, frequency of meeting (at this time it has all been sub release), and structure.
